Privacy Policy

How Appgum handles website information, cookies, comments, download statistics, and privacy requests.

Last updated: October 17, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you visit appgum.com, browse our catalogue, use download links, submit a review, or contact us. It covers the Appgum website. Apps you download and external websites have their own privacy practices.

1. Who is responsible for this website

Appgum is operated by Appgum.Com. For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].

2. Information provided by you

Messages: when you contact us, we receive your email address, the name you provide, your message, and any attachments. Please send only information relevant to your request.

Comments and ratings: where these features are available, we collect the display name, review text, and rating you submit, together with the associated app, language, and submission time. Approved contributions may be displayed publicly. Please avoid putting private information in a review.

Our review system also stores a protected, pseudonymous value derived from a browser identifier to help identify duplicate submissions. This value is separate from the display name shown with a review.

3. Information received when you use the website

Delivering a website or download requires our servers and service providers to receive connection information, such as an IP address and details sent by your browser. Depending on the service and logging configuration, technical records may include the requested page or file, request time, browser information, referring address where supplied, response status, and security events.

Appgum also records counts of app-page views and download-link clicks. The site's built-in statistics are grouped by content item, language, and date. These counts help us understand catalogue activity and produce popularity lists. A click count does not necessarily mean a download was completed or an app was installed.

4. Cookies and browser identifiers

The website uses cookies to support sessions, secure form submissions, and review controls.

  • Session and security cookies: support the operation of website forms and related protections. Their current retention period is 365 Days.
  • Visitor identifier: the visitor_key cookie contains a randomly generated identifier used by the review system. It is configured to expire after up to one year, unless removed or replaced sooner.

You can use your browser settings to inspect, block, or delete cookies. Blocking cookies may prevent comments, ratings, or other forms from working. Deleting a cookie does not automatically delete a review or a server record already created.

5. How information is used

We use the information described above to:

  • Deliver pages, images, and downloadable files.
  • Operate and moderate comments and ratings.
  • Respond to questions, correction requests, and ownership reports.
  • Identify broken links and investigate technical problems.
  • Protect the website and limit spam, duplicate submissions, and abuse.
  • Measure catalogue activity and maintain popularity lists.
  • Handle privacy requests and comply with applicable obligations.

6. Service providers and disclosures

Hosting, file storage, content delivery, security, and email providers may process information needed to supply their services. Appgum uses Cloudflare R2 for file and image storage and delivery. Requests for those resources are also handled by the delivery provider. Information about Cloudflare's practices is available in its Privacy Policy.

Your approved display name, comment, and rating are public contributions. We may also disclose information when required by applicable law or when necessary to investigate abuse, address a rights complaint, or protect the website and its users.

7. Downloaded apps and external links

A download link may lead to our file delivery service or to an external source. That service receives the information needed to handle your request. Once an app is installed, its developer and service providers control its own collection and use of information. Review the app's permissions and privacy policy before using it.

This website policy does not describe or replace the privacy policies of individual apps, developers, advertising services within those apps, or external websites.

8. Retention

Different records serve different purposes. Published reviews remain available until removed, and their associated moderation information may remain with them. Cookie lifetimes are described above. Records needed for a specific dispute, abuse investigation, or legal obligation may need to be retained longer than routine records.

Removing a public contribution does not guarantee immediate removal of copies held by search engines or other third parties.

9. International processing

Our service providers may operate in countries other than yours.

10. Your choices and requests

You can choose not to submit a review or contact message and can manage cookies through your browser. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of your personal information, to object to certain processing, or to withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing.

Send a request to [email protected]. We may need information reasonably necessary to locate your record and verify the request. The available rights and any exceptions depend on the applicable law. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

11. Children and personal information

Parents or guardians who believe that a child has submitted personal information to Appgum can contact us at [email protected]. Please identify the relevant page or submission so we can review the concern and handle the information as required by applicable law.

12. Security and policy updates

No internet service can guarantee complete security. Avoid posting private information in public reviews or sending unnecessary sensitive information in messages.

We may update this policy when the website or its information practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest revision. Any additional notice or consent required by applicable law will need to be provided before the relevant new processing begins.
