Super City is an action-adventure game that blends role-playing and fantasy. Players assume the role of a unique character in a universe of powerful heroes and villains, selecting from over 150 superheroes or supervillains while customizing appearance and skills to suit personal preferences.
Game Modes and Progression
Players begin by choosing Story Mode for narrative progression or Battle Scene mode for quick encounters. Character creation involves selecting faction alignment as hero or villain, adjusting appearance and equipment, then entering the city to explore streets and interact with encountered characters. Area battles allow support for the chosen faction, while Battle Scenes provide opportunities to test different lineups and strategies. Progression emphasizes developing abilities through practice rather than random inputs, requiring players to analyze enemy characteristics and apply skills effectively during combat.
Core Combat and Exploration
Combat centers on striking, grabbing, and timely use of superpowers or items. Players must create strategic builds that leverage personal skills against opponents instead of relying on rapid button presses. Exploration includes moving through city areas, observing reactions from non-player characters, and participating in faction conflicts to influence control over locations.
Controls
Attack inputs use the A key, with hold variations for low or high attacks depending on directional input. Grab actions employ the G key, while blocking requires simultaneous A and G presses. Running uses the R key, and double-tapping enables jumping or flying. Powerful attacks combine A and R. Item handling involves the P key for pickup or drop, with directional combinations for throwing and R plus P for shooting. Special ability activation uses S, transformation occurs via portrait tap after unlocking, and pausing happens through the clock icon or screen bottom tap. Dialogue speed increases with speech bubble interaction, and two-finger pinch adjusts zoom level.
Customization and Support Options
Multiple character profiles can be created, each with distinct personalities that unlock separate storylines and allow testing of varied outfits. Controls support gamepad and joystick input for alternative play styles, and button layouts remain adjustable to match individual preferences. Abilities, skills, and weapons become available through resource collection, after which they can be used freely in encounters.
