About this app

Five Nights at Freddy's 5: Sister Location is another installment in the Five Nights at Freddy horror game series. Players begin their work at an entertainment company, facing electromagnetic dolls that want to attack others. Players must complete various challenges in different rooms each night to stop the dolls' attacks. However, as the game progresses, players will discover the truth behind the dolls. Will you help them escape the company's control? Survival in the real world depends on your choices, leading to different storylines and endings. The game also offers different difficulty modes; as the difficulty increases, the puzzles and the dolls' sensitivity will also increase, providing players with more challenges. The player controls Mike, a late-night technician for the animatronic rental company Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rental. The player character must complete five shifts, called nights, without being caught by the animatronics that become mobile and homicidal at night. Though it continues the series's point-and-click format, Sister Location introduces a more dynamic gameplay environment. Players use crawlspaces to move between the facility's rooms—Primary Control Module, Funtime Auditorium, Circus Control, and Ballora Gallery—to complete tasks. Each night concludes when the assigned tasks are completed rather than surviving a set timeframe against the animatronics. In addition to a company-issued AI voice named HandUnit, a variety of tools are available to the player to navigate the rooms and subdue the animatronics. For example, players use an elevated control pad on night one to light a room and shock the animatronics, and on night three, a flash beacon is used to navigate Funtime Auditorium and avoid its animatronic, Funtime Foxy. As with all Five Nights at Freddy's games, failing to defend oneself from the animatronics results in a jumpscare, causing a game over. Unlike other games in the series, the animatronics do not actively pursue the player; instead, a jumpscare occurs if the assigned tasks are not completed correctly. If the player dies, there is a chance for them to enter an Atari-style platformer minigame, reminiscent to the post-death minigames in Five Nights at Freddy's 2, where the player acts as Circus Baby delivering cupcakes to children. Completing this minigame in a specific manner unlocks a secret level on the fifth night that reintroduces the immobile survival aspect of the original Five Nights at Freddy's. Completing all five nights unlocks additional features, including a Custom Night mode, where the player selects from various modes and difficulty settings and tries to survive the night against a new set of animatronics.

How does task completion drive progression across the five nights?

On night one the player descends in an elevator, enters the Primary Control Module, and uses paired buttons to check Ballora and Funtime Foxy before delivering controlled shocks when they are absent from their stages. After repeating the process for Circus Baby in Circus Gallery the shift ends by returning through the vent. Night two follows the same initial routine until power fails in Circus Gallery, forcing the player under a desk to close a door against Bidybabs, then travel through Ballora Gallery by listening for music volume to pause safely, restore power in the Breaker Room by playing Bon-Bon audio cues at the correct moments, and exit before Ballora speaks. Night three requires maintenance in Funtime Auditorium using the flash beacon to cross while stopping at any sight of Funtime Foxy's arm, followed by fixing Funtime Freddy and catching Bon-Bon by waiting at the bottom right then moving slowly to press the button under his bowtie. Night four places the player in the Scooping Room where springlocks must be held tightened while shaking off Minireenas, noting that the central Minireena is a hallucination. Night five combines earlier mechanics with the secret platformer minigame path when the post-death minigame is completed correctly.

What tools and movement options help the player manage animatronics?

Players move between rooms through crawlspaces rather than remaining stationary. The Primary Control Module supplies an elevated control pad for lighting rooms and delivering shocks. The flash beacon illuminates Funtime Auditorium on night three. Audio cues played from the monitor in the Breaker Room lure Funtime Freddy back to stage. Under-desk doors and side positioning block Bidybabs on night two. These tools are used only when tasks require them; the animatronics do not chase but trigger a jumpscare if tasks remain incomplete.

Which features become available after the main five nights are completed?

Finishing the five nights opens Custom Night mode. In this mode the player chooses from multiple difficulty settings and faces a new set of animatronics while attempting to survive one night. The post-death minigame can also be replayed to reach the secret level on night five that restores the classic immobile survival format. Multiple endings exist depending on choices made during the nights, including a fake ending that grants access to Custom Night.

How do difficulty modes and player choices affect the experience?

Higher difficulty increases puzzle complexity and animatronic sensitivity, requiring more precise timing with lights, shocks, beacons, and audio cues. Player decisions during nights determine which ending is reached and whether the secret minigame path opens. The game provides no checkpoints on later nights, so errors require restarting from the beginning of that night. The source material records player observations that night four demands sustained attention to springlocks and Minireenas while night five combines prior mechanics under tighter constraints.
