Defending Lydia Collie is a narrative game in which you play a London lawyer preparing the defense of a businessman's wife after he goes missing. The central activity is building her case: you review evidence, sit in on police interviews and follow the story into the courtroom trial.
Investigation and courtroom play
The description places the work across two stages. During police interviews, the game asks you to pay attention to details and choose dialogue options. The courtroom scenes follow, where the evidence you have gathered is used to support your client. The source describes the story as including twists and turns along the way.
How choices shape the story
Decisions carry consequences for the outcome of the story. The source notes that choices include which dialogue options to select during interviews and which characters to pursue romantically. Because the consequences are tied to these decisions, the game encourages you to consider each choice before making it.
Characters and relationships
The cast includes the defendant, an assistant and a police officer, each with their own motivations and personalities. You can interact with these characters and pursue romantic relationships with several of them. The description mentions multiple romance options and branching paths, which means that different relationship choices can lead to different outcomes.
Mature content
The game contains swearing, nudity and adult scenes. Fetish content is optional and is controlled by player choices. Players who prefer to avoid this material should consider it before playing.
