A decision before departure
By Midsummer Moonlight is a narrative game about Aedan Miller, an 18-year-old preparing to leave for war. With three weeks remaining, people close to him try to change his mind. The story follows the tension between his sense of duty and his personal desires as relationships are tested.
People and relationships
Aedan meets a varied cast that includes old friends and new acquaintances, each with their own motivations and struggles. Their conversations and efforts to persuade him bring love, friendship and loyalty into the unfolding conflict. The story also explores sacrifice as bonds are challenged and new relationships form.
Choices shape the story
Players make choices and interact with characters as events develop. Those decisions have consequences, and interactions affect the outcome, so the narrative can unfold differently according to the player's choices. The people around Aedan use unconventional methods to try to convince him to stay, adding to the personal conflict at the center of the story.
