V-SPEED Speed Test is an Android app for measuring internet connection performance on WiFi or mobile networks. Its main function is to provide download and upload speed results, while latency and ping measurements add information about data transfer delays that can affect the responsiveness and stability of a connection.
Check download, upload, and latency
The speed test records download and upload performance so users can examine how their connection handles incoming and outgoing data. The app also measures latency, described as data transfer time delays or ping. Together, these results provide separate indicators for connection speed and delay rather than treating performance as a single measurement.
Choose a server for the test
Users can select a preferred server before running a speed check. This control allows the test to be based on a chosen server and the user's specific location or testing needs. The selected server is part of the context shown by the app when measuring the connection.
Review nearby network coverage
Beyond speed measurements, V-SPEED Speed Test includes a built-in map of mobile network coverage. The map displays coverage from various mobile networks, helping users review network availability in their area. A WiFi and mobile signal finding tool also supports locating available WiFi signals and mobile network coverage.
Share test results
After a test, the app allows users to share their results through supported social networking services, including Facebook and Twitter. This provides a way to present the measured connection information to friends or followers without changing the test measurements themselves.
