Symlex VPN (Legacy) is a VPN proxy app for connecting to the internet through a VPN with one tap. Its described uses include encrypting the connection and choosing servers in different regions, without a complicated setup process.
When you want a simple VPN connection
The app offers a one-tap connection rather than requiring users to configure a connection manually. Its description says the VPN connection is encrypted, distinguishing this function from a regular proxy. This is the app’s stated approach to securing browsing traffic; the description does not provide details about encryption methods or independently verified privacy protections.
When you want selected apps to use the VPN
On Android devices running version 4.2 or higher, users can choose specific apps to use the VPN connection. The description names WhatsApp, Viber, imo, Skype, and Messenger, including voice and video calls. This app-selection option is useful when the intended task is to route particular apps through the VPN rather than select apps indiscriminately; the source does not explain how the selection is configured.
When choosing a server by region
The described network covers America, Europe, and Asia, with examples of available locations including the USA, Denmark, and England. Users can select from the available servers. The description does not specify the full country list, so these examples should not be taken as a complete inventory.
When a connection does not work
If a connection fails, the app’s guidance is to try another available server. It also suggests sending the app to the background, reopening it, and logging in again. To choose among servers, users can check performance and latency and select one described as faster and more stable. These are suggested troubleshooting steps; the source does not guarantee that they will resolve every connection problem.
