SpotLite is a music player utility for finding and playing songs through a lightweight interface. The supplied description focuses on search, direct track selection, repeat controls, queue management, and a listening experience without the audio, banner, and sponsored video advertising described for the standard free service.
What playback controls does SpotLite provide?
The listing describes on-demand playback, so a user can select a particular song from a playlist or album instead of being limited to forced shuffle. It also identifies queue repeat and single-track repeat as available controls. A find bar is included for locating content within the music interface, while unrestricted search is described as part of the available functionality.
Are skips limited?
According to the supplied feature description, SpotLite removes the six-skips-per-hour restriction associated with the referenced free account. This means the app is presented as allowing users to move past songs whenever they choose, rather than applying that stated hourly limit across playlists and devices.
What advertising and prompts are described?
The source presents SpotLite as an ad-free player. It specifically mentions the removal of audio advertisements, home-screen banner advertisements, sponsored videos, upgrade prompts, premium banners, and survey prompts. These claims describe the intended behavior in the supplied listing; the source does not provide independent verification or testing results.
Does the app include premium-style features?
The description says that selected features normally associated with a paid account are enabled, including direct playback, unlimited skips, repeat options, and higher-quality audio. It qualifies audio quality as depending on the network connection. The listing also says that these functions do not require a paid account, but it does not provide technical details about account support or service availability.
How is SpotLite installed?
SpotLite is presented as an APK rather than as a standard store listing. The supplied installation notes say that an earlier SpotLite installation, or an original application with a different signing identity, may need to be removed before installation. They also describe enabling the Android permission that allows the relevant browser or file manager to install unknown applications, then opening the APK.
Does it require root access?
The source states that root access and system modifications are not required. It describes the application as usable after APK installation, with no additional setup needed for the listed playback features. However, the supplied compatibility information is inconsistent: one section mentions Android 9.0 or later, while another discusses older versions and contains contradictory wording. A dependable minimum Android version therefore cannot be established from this listing.
What should prospective users keep in mind?
SpotLite is aimed at listeners who want direct control over song selection, repeat behavior, and skipping while using a music-player interface. Its documented focus is playback and search rather than broader media-management tools. The source also attributes its compact design to use of a web-based player in WebView, but it does not give a verified file size, network requirement, or detailed account and library limitations.
