Overview
Shiv Tandav Stotram is an Android music app for listening to and reading the Shiv Tandav Stotram, a Hindu hymn describing the power and beauty of Shiva. It provides hymn audio and lyrics without requiring an internet connection, with the lyrics available in nine languages. Users can play or pause the recording, repeat it, share the audio or lyrics, and browse a collection of Shiva images. The app also includes shankh and bell sounds, a ringtone option, and automatic pause and resume behavior during phone calls.
What You Can Do
⭐ Play the Shiv Tandav Stotram and pause or resume it by tapping the screen. Swiping on the screen lets you move backward or forward through the audio.
⭐ Read the hymn lyrics in nine different languages, making the text accessible to users who prefer different language options.
⭐ Listen offline using the included audio, so the hymn can be played when an internet connection is unavailable.
⭐ Share the audio or the Shiv Tandav lyrics with friends and family using the app's sharing options.
⭐ Browse the Lord Shiva image gallery and select a particular image to use as wallpaper.
⭐ Set the hymn as a ringtone, enable repeat playback, or listen to additional shankh and bell sounds.
Using the App
The main playback controls are designed around simple screen gestures: tapping handles play and pause, while swiping moves through the recording. Repeat can be switched on or off according to whether you want a single listening session or continuous playback. When a phone call arrives, the app can automatically pause the music and resume it afterward. It can also be minimized with the minimize button, and the source notes that it may be moved to an SD card through the device settings.
Why It May Appeal
✅ Offline audio and lyrics make the app suitable for devotional listening without relying on mobile data or Wi-Fi.
✅ Combining multilingual lyrics, audio, sharing tools, and Shiva imagery gives users several ways to engage with the hymn in one app.
✅ Wallpaper and ringtone settings extend the app beyond basic music playback.
Things to Consider
❎ The app is focused specifically on the Shiv Tandav Stotram and related Shiva devotional content, so it may not suit listeners looking for a broader music library.
