Photo & Picture Resizer is an Android app for adjusting photo size and resolution before sharing or uploading images. It is designed for common situations such as email attachments, web forms, text messages, and social media posts on platforms including Instagram and Facebook.
Resize photos for different uses
The app provides a straightforward way to reduce image dimensions or modify resolution through a user-friendly interface. It includes multiple resolution options, making it possible to prepare photographs for services with specific size requirements or for messages where large attachments may exceed account limits.
Preserve proportions and image copies
Photo & Picture Resizer maintains the original aspect ratio based on the camera resolution while resizing. The source describes the resizing process as retaining a high level of image quality, so users can change dimensions without intentionally replacing the original photograph.
Resized images are saved in a separate folder, leaving the original files available. This arrangement supports creating smaller or differently sized copies for particular sharing tasks while keeping the source photographs unchanged.
Album navigation
In addition to its resizing controls, the app supports gesture-based navigation through photo albums. This provides another way to browse images when selecting photographs to resize.
Typical workflow
Select a photograph, choose an available resolution or size, and save the resized copy separately. The resulting file can then be used for an email attachment, online form, text message, or social media post without needing to alter the original image.
