Orbitz Hotels & Flights is a travel booking app that lets you search for and book flights, hotels, rental cars, and activities from one place. The listing describes it as a way to plan the main parts of a trip without switching between separate tools, and the app's features are organized around those booking categories and a central trip record.
Booking hotels in the app
The hotel section is built around finding accommodation close to where you are. According to the listing, you can find hotels, motels, and inns on a map view, then open each property to read its description, photos, user ratings, and amenities from guests the listing describes as verified. Results can be sorted by deal, price, or reviews, which helps narrow a long list when you have a budget or a preferred type of stay in mind.
The listing also highlights last-minute hotel bookings, and states that most hotels offer free cancellation. Payment can be made at the time of booking or on arrival, depending on what the property offers. The app can store payment details for later bookings, which the listing presents as a way to make future reservations faster.
Searching for flights
The flight search supports both round-trip and one-way trips. Results from multiple airlines can be sorted by price, time, or flight duration, so you can compare options that fit your schedule. The listing describes two pricing approaches: combining one-way fares, and buying two separately issued tickets for a single price. It says these approaches may reduce cost, but the actual result depends on the fares available for a given trip.
Car rentals and activities
The car rental section lets you search for rentals and plan round-trip pickups from airports worldwide. The listing describes the rental options as varied and competitively priced, and says you can book them within the app. For trips that include sightseeing, the activities section offers local tours, airport shuttles, and tickets for certain attractions, with the listing noting that it can help you skip ticket lines.
The listing also says you can build a custom vacation package that combines activities, hotels, cars, and other bookings. This suits travelers who prefer to arrange several parts of a trip in one account rather than through separate services.
Keeping trip details in My Trips
The My Trips feature stores your travel details in one location. According to the listing, it includes your trip locator, gate information, and upcoming trip details, which you can view at any time. Keeping these details together can make it easier to check your itinerary before leaving for the airport or on the way to a hotel.
Rewards, offers, and terms
The listing describes the Orbitz Rewards program, which lets users earn Orbucks on bookings. It also states that app bookers receive 4% off hotels and 2% off flights, and that mobile-exclusive deals can save up to 30% on some hotel rooms. These are promotional statements in the listing, so the actual discounts depend on the booking and the offer terms. The listing mentions a promotion code and notes that promotional offers have specific terms and conditions, so it is worth reading those terms before relying on a discount.
The listing states that Orbitz prioritizes user privacy and follows its Privacy and Cookie Policy. Those policies are the place to check how the app handles personal data and cookies.
