Golf GPS Range Finder &Yardage is designed for golfers who need course distances and hole information while planning shots. Its GPS rangefinder measures distances on the course, while satellite maps and adjustable course details provide additional information for navigating and preparing for each hole.
Checking distances during a round
The GPS rangefinder is intended for quick distance measurements as you play. The source describes it as fast, reliable, and designed to minimize battery consumption. A simple GPS view can be used to assess distances and support club selection decisions without requiring the golfer to work through more detailed map information.
Planning a shot with targets
When a distance needs more careful consideration, the drag-and-drop target control lets you place a target on the course. The app can then be used to gauge the distance between your current position, the selected target, and the green. This supports shot planning by putting those distances together for a more informed decision.
Reading each hole on a satellite map
Hole-by-hole satellite maps show the hole number, par, and distance. The visual course information can help golfers review the layout of a hole and plan their shots. It is also intended to assist with course navigation when playing somewhere unfamiliar.
Updating course information
Course details can be mapped and customized directly on the device. Tee and flag positions can be adjusted, and an entire course can be remapped when necessary. This is useful for courses whose information is outdated or for newly constructed courses that may need their layout details added or revised.
Finding mapped courses
The app provides access to thousands of mapped courses that can be explored and downloaded. Courses can be searched by name or by location, including city, state, or country. This gives golfers a way to look for course information before playing and select the mapped course relevant to their round.
