Feedly is an app for creating a personalized digital newspaper from selected news sources and social updates. It brings stories from favorite websites, blogs, and supported social networks into one news-reading experience.
How can you personalize the news feed?
Feedly lets you curate a news mix around the subjects and sources that matter to you. Users can follow favorite news sites and prioritize sources they trust, helping them focus on selected coverage rather than receiving an undifferentiated stream of articles. The app is described as aggregating stories so the feed reflects individual preferences.
Which sources can you add?
Popular news sites can be added through the app's interface. Feedly also supports adding lesser-known blogs by entering their URLs, providing a way to bring a broader range of publications into the same reader.
Can social updates appear alongside news?
The app supports streams from Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr. These social updates can be viewed within the news reader alongside reports from traditional websites, keeping selected social and editorial sources together in one place.
What is the reading experience like?
Feedly presents a clean, simple interface intended to make navigation and access to articles straightforward. Its source aggregation is designed to help users stay updated with information from their selected websites, while the ability to choose sources keeps the reading experience focused on preferred topics and outlets.
