Catecismo Católico is an Android app that presents the Catechism of the Catholic Church in a language intended to be accessible to a wide audience. The app covers beliefs, celebrations, daily Christian life, and prayer, and it is designed to be read on a phone.
Content organized in four parts
The catechism is divided into four sections. The first covers what Catholics believe, including the Bible, Creation, and faith. The second covers how the Church celebrates, with topics such as the mysteries of the Church, the seven sacraments, and the liturgical year. The third focuses on living a life in Christ and includes virtues, the Ten Commandments, and issues such as abortion and human rights. The fourth explains prayer, including the rosary and different methods of prayer.
Offline reading and reading comfort
According to the app description, it does not require an internet connection to function, so the complete text can be read without a network connection. Users can adjust the font size for a more comfortable reading experience. A bookmarking feature lets users mark their progress so they can return to where they stopped.
Sharing content
The app lets users share its content through Facebook, Twitter, and SMS. This allows readers to send passages or information from the catechism to their contacts.
