Boomplay Music (Boom Player) helps listeners find and organize African and international music in one app. Its catalog includes songs and videos, while trending tracks, new releases from favorite artists, and mood-based selections offer different ways to choose what to play.
Find music through playlists and radio
You can follow playlists made by music editors or other users, and explore playlists associated with celebrities. Music radio stations across Africa provide another listening option. The app also shows suggested users, alongside its music discovery features.
Build and share a personal playlist
To make a playlist, you can add songs from your local library or the Boomplay catalog. Existing playlists can be changed by adding or removing songs and reordering them. When you want to pass a selection along, playlist sharing is available through social media, messaging apps, and other sharing methods.
Follow releases and lyrics
For upcoming music, the app supports pre-orders of albums, EPs, and singles before their release dates. Synchronized lyrics let you follow the words while singing along. Lucky draws are also listed among the app’s features, though the supplied information does not describe how they work.
