Blued: Gay Live Chat & Dating is a social and dating app that supports profile discovery, conversations, livestreams, and one-to-one video calls for gay men. The service is presented as open to users worldwide, while also helping people browse profiles in their local area and connect with others beyond nearby locations.
Discover profiles and start conversations
The app lets users view profiles of people who match selected criteria and begin a chat or date conversation. The documented profile filters can include factors such as height, weight, and age. A separate option can show only profiles that include face photos. Premium users have access to more specific filters, including preferred location, body type, and current status.
Profile discovery is not limited to nearby users according to the supplied description. People can chat with others in different countries, so the app supports both local browsing and international social connections. The description also presents the service as a place for casual conversations, dates, and longer-term connections.
Chat with messages, media, and video
Conversations can use photos, audio messages, video messages, GIFs, and location sharing. The app also supports one-to-one video calls with other users, including people who are not in the same country. These communication options group text and richer media interactions in the same social environment.
Users can share private photo albums and send disappearing messages, according to the listed features. These controls relate to how users communicate and share content, but the supplied information does not explain retention periods, privacy settings in detail, or technical requirements for the messaging tools.
Follow people and join live content
Blued includes a community feed built around following influencers, friends, and crushes. Following these accounts lets users keep up with their latest posts. The description also says that other social media accounts can be connected so users can keep their gay social activity together in one app.
Users can host livestreams to share content with friends and followers and interact with viewers while live. The app also allows users to join other people's livestreams, giving profile discovery and community interaction a live video element.
Optional Premium controls
Blued Premium is described as an optional upgrade with additional dating and browsing controls. Listed benefits include advanced filters, hiding distance and online status, browsing profiles anywhere in the world, removing ads, and receiving exclusive badges and icons. The supplied information does not state the Premium price or subscription terms.
