BARD Mobile is a digital library app that provides eligible users with books, magazines, music instruction, and scores in audio and electronic braille formats. It is designed for people who are blind, have low vision, or have a reading disability that prevents them from reading or holding regular printed materials.
Audio and electronic braille library
The collection includes tens of thousands of selections, covering best sellers, classic works, popular magazines, and materials for music instruction. Users can choose between audio content and electronic braille, depending on the format that suits their reading or listening needs.
New selections and portable access
New content is added daily, giving eligible users an ongoing selection of reading and listening material. The app is intended to make this collection available in a portable form, so users can carry access to books and magazines while away from home.
National Library Service eligibility
Access is available to residents of the United States and American citizens living abroad who meet the requirements of the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled. Eligibility includes visual impairments or reading disabilities that prevent a person from using standard printed materials.
